London Stationery Show

The London Stationery Show, the biggest trade show for the UK paper and writing products industry has a new owner, Ocean Media Group.

The London Stationery Show is the biggest trade show for the UK paper and writing products industry. It now has a new owner, Ocean Media Group, a leading provider of trade shows, exhibitions, awards and specialist publications.

In April this year, the London Stationery Show held its sixth show. It was originally founded in 2011 by Chris Leonard-Morgan of LMC Media. Over the past 6 years, the show has trebled in size. Subsequently, companies from over 40 countries were represented at this year’s show. The 2017 show is taking place on 25-26th April 2017. 85% of the space is already booked.

David Watt, CEO at Ocean Media says:

“This is an exciting opportunity to add two more market leading brands, and a new sector, to the Ocean portfolio. The London Stationery Show has captured the imagination of both mainstream and niche retailers whilst stimulating consumer demand for quality stationery products. Ocean believes it can help foster the sector and help the London Stationery Show continue to grow to meet the demands of this vibrant industry.”

Ocean Media Group

Currently, Ocean Media Group works in three sectors:

  • Weddings: Running the National Wedding Shows and bridal events throughout the UK.
  • Bridal: Producing the leading bridal magazine and organises the Harrogate Bridal Show, the London Bridal Show and White Gallery.
  • Housing: Organising conferences, events and award ceremonies. Through its partnership with the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), it runs Europe’s largest housing event and also publishes the sector’s leading trade magazines.

What This Change Means for the London Stationery Show

Due to Ocean Media Group’s proven track record it would appear that this change in ownership provides great opportunities for the London Stationery Show. Ocean Media Group also has valuable experience in working with, and attracting B2B and B2C customers to their events and publications. Furthermore, Chris Leonard-Morgan will remain as an advisor to the show along with the existing team.
