Apogee Acquire Rival Danwood

Managed Print Services Provider Apogee has acquired rival Danwood, increasing its revenue to over £250 million. Danwood is the UK’s largest independent provider of document technology and managed print services.

Danwood, is based in Lincoln and has around 400 staff. Its partner base includes; Canon, HP, Xerox, Samsung, Sharp and Kyocera.

In joining Apogee, Danwood brings over 8,000 transactional and 10,000 retained customers. It is the leading provider of office technology to SMEs and also the corporate and public sectors in UK and Ireland. This will help Apogee become Europe’s largest independent provider of managed print services and document technology.

Jason Collins, CEO of Apogee Corporation says:

“This significant acquisition for Apogee provides us with the scale and reach to be a leading player in the European market for managed print services.

“Danwood has terrific strengths that complement Apogee’s offering and strategy, including a large client base of major corporate businesses, government and public sector organisations, and a strong service network that will increase the Group’s coverage and capacity to support its clients across the UK and continental Europe.”

However, Apogee has not yet confirmed reports that over 100 staff at the Lincoln site will be made redundant following the acquisition. Reviews into the business are currently in progress.
