After a resounding success in 2017, stationery giant BIC are launching their BIC Kids Young Artist Award competition again this summer with a new and improved format.
This year’s BIC Kids Young Artist Award will be open to all 5 – 11 year olds across the UK and the Republic of Ireland later this summer and will consist of several more winners than previous. Judges will be preparing to judge any designs on creativity, use of colour, subject matter and composition, so entrants should be ready to think outside the box before the deadline approaches on Sunday 5th of August. The competition also sees BIC continue their working partnership with Mumsnet to crown an overall champion of the event.
Following on From Last Year’s Success
Speaking about the return of the BIC Kids Young Artist Award, Rebecca Huda, BIC UK and Ireland’s Product Manager for Stationery, expressed excitement upon its launch. “We’re delighted to be returning with our BIC KIDS Young Artist Award for 2018. Last year’s competition was a great success and we were overwhelmed by the quality of artwork we received. We can’t wait for this year’s imaginative entries to start pouring in ready to be displayed across the country, there’ll be some proud parents for sure.”
Entering the BIC Kids Young Artist Award Competition
In order to put forward any entries, parents should enter the competition on behalf of their young artist by uploading an image of their artwork to the official BIC Kids Young Artist Award website before the 5th of August 2018. Once their entry has received, it will be up to an expert panel of judges comprised from publishing, marketing and illustration backgrounds to make the final decision on the regional winners. These regional winners will have their work displayed on regional billboards in the month of August, where shortly after, the public will cast their vote for their favourite design.
The Prize at Stake
The ultimate winner of the competition will have their design showcased across the nation for all to see in late September. Not only this, but the 13 finalists of the BIC Kids Young Artist Award will receive a prize too. The prize for any young artist reaching the final, a BIC Kids hamper, contains a wide range of stationery products and accessories. Included are BIC Kids Evolution Ecolutions colouring pencils, Plastidecor crayons, Kid Couleur felt tip pens and some other mystery items.
Office Supplies Blog would like to wish the very best of luck to any young artists participating in this year’s BIC Kids Young Artist Award competition!
