SPOT Group CEO Stepping Down

Current CEO of SPOT Group, Jeff Whiteway, has announced plans to stand down from his role after over 30 years with the company.

Office Supplies Blog understands that Jeff Whiteway will relinquish his position as CEO at SPOT Group during the first quarter of the year. During this time, Whiteway will not partake in any further activity within the business and will be placed on garden leave shortly after. Despite his resignation, Whiteway will remain as a shareholder at the company.

Over 30 Years of Leadership

For over 30 years, Whiteway has been at the helm of both OfficeTeam and the SPOT Group, becoming a key driving force behind both companies. He was active in his role of CEO during the creation of the SPOT Group and was an influential figure in developing the OfficeTeam business.

Speaking on his tenure as CEO and his experience within the Office Supplies Industry, Whiteway commented:

“Having been in the business for 33 years, under five private equity partners and with business transforming so rapidly, now is the time for a change in personnel, and therefore a new leader. I firmly believe the plans we have now put in place will transform the company during 2019 and beyond. I leave excited for the future of both OfficeTeam and Spicers.”

It is understood that the current chairman of SPOT Group, Octavia Morley, will be covering the transition period whilst the company seek a successor to Whiteway.
