The first sponsors for National Stationery Week 2020 have been announced, with some familiar names signing themselves up to get involved over the course of the event.

In what will be its 7th year next year, the organisers behind National Stationery Week 2020 have unveiled the first few brands and retailers who will be helping to sponsor the event.

Seen as a great opportunity to help spread the positive messages around stationery, handwriting and pen/pencil art, National Stationery Week is often embraced by those in the office supplies industry, with many already planning key initiatives in time for when the event runs from the 20th to the 26th of April next year.

First Sponsors for National Stationery Week 2020 Revealed

Earlier last month, Channel Info were one of the first to report that Marple Stationery Supplies had been officially named as the very first sponsor for National Stationery Week 2020.

The company was a key driving force behind the themed ‘Stationery Shop Saturday’ day which was part of the National Stationery Week schedule this year, with Sarah Laker, the owner of Marple Stationery Supplies, delighted to renew her support for the campaign.

“I’ve been a supporter of National Stationery Week and its #WritingMatters message since the beginning.

I believe it’s the perfect time to shout about our love, and knowledge, of stationery and the importance of putting pen, or pencil, to paper.”

Commenting further on the initial challenge of helping to spearhead the ‘Stationery Shop Saturday’ theme, Laker adds:

“Last year I took on the challenge of leading #StationeryShopSaturday and it grew bigger than I ever expected, becoming a national hit with retailers of all sizes.

It was great to see independent stationers around the country shouting about everything that have to offer – their uniqueness, knowledge, personal service and diversity of products.

I can’t wait to do the same again – but bigger.”

Leading Brands Add Themselves Into the Mix

Also announced as sponsors for National Stationery Week are the leading stationery brands Maped Helix and Uni-ball, who have also been previously involved with the event through product promotions, special offers and other unique initiatives.

Much like Marple Stationery Supplies, Maped Helix were thrilled to announce their sponsorship, with Marketing Manager at the company, Lianne Fletcher, commenting:

“National Stationery Week combines both fun and meaning into a campaign that encourages the nation to put pen to paper.

We can’t wait to be involved again.

Maped Helix has stood the test of time with iconic products and we were keen to be involved with this fantastic event.”

Uni-ball’s confirmed join up with the National Stationery Week event next year also comes off the back of the launch of their brand-new plastic free packaging, which was introduced earlier in July this year.

The cardboard packaging has been thoroughly tested by the company, to ensure that it is both biodegradable and recyclable whilst also being free from the use of plastic materials, replacing the often traditionally used plaster blister cards.

Melissa Purdy-Cross, brand manager at Uni-ball, expressed the importance of their involvement with the National Stationery Week event.

“As a brand, we know our consumers trust our quality led innovation and we bring a sense of creativity into any project uni-ball is involved in.

Playing a key role and being a part of National Stationery Week is really important for us from both a consumer and a retail point of view.”

Noting that plans are well underway for how they will approach the event, Purdy-Cross adds:

“Wheels are already turning and our plans for National Stationery Week are being formulated.

Moleskine Announced as Latest Sponsor

Dealer Support broke the news yesterday of Moleskine becoming the latest sponsor for National Stationery Week, with Moleskine eager to continue to cement its status as a world-renowned paper maker and stationery designer through the added promotional opportunities the event often provides.

Described as “the perfect opportunity for Moleskine” due to the campaign “matching the brand’s values of creativity, style and imagination”, the company has hinted that it will have a plethora of exciting and innovative ideas for consumers and stationery fans to get involved with throughout the course of the event.

Brands and retailers are being encouraged to register as a sponsor before the deadline approaches, as National Stationery Week 2020 promises to be yet another exciting and memorable event in April next year.
